Advertising is a good way to keep your name in front of prospects. With the right offer, it can also be a cost-effective way to generate leads. The key to successful advertising is repetition. You need to choose a type of advertising that you can afford to do regularly.

Google, Yahoo, MSN

Pay-per-click advertisements on Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines work for virtually every software company. They let you reach prospects at any stage of the business cycle. Since you pay only when people click, pay-per-click advertisements are one of the most cost-effective ways to reach your target market.

Magazines, newsletters

We recommend display advertising in publications where display ads are affordable and there isn't too much clutter. Where display ads are not affordable, we recommend display classified ads. These ads are typically much less expensive than display ads. They can have a bigger impact because people look to the classifieds when they are ready to buy.

E-mail newsletters

E-mail newsletter ads are still affordable in some newsletters. You may be able to exchange ads with other newsletters or barter for newsletter space.

Websites

We use banner ads, skyscrapers, and medallions to help establish a presence on targeted websites where the ads are affordable.
